The Wayne County Family Connection online Resource Directory lists local agencies that can help with child maltreatment issues. Obviously, if you know that a child is being abused, you should not hesitate to report it to local law enforcement or Department of Children and Family Services. If you aren’t sure that abuse is happening, but you know that something is suspicious or confusing, there are helplines that you can talk to about specific details and work out a way of getting help to a family. You can talk to the helplines anonymously if you prefer. Don’t let a child be in possible harm just because you have doubts-get information about how to proceed.
