What you can do that really will help What You Can Do • Parenting is hard! Be a friend to a parent or caregiver you know by offering to baby sit, run an errand or listen compassionately. • Share PCA Georgia’s HELPLINE number (1-800-CHILDREN) as a source of support and access to community resources. • Assure that children have access to appropriate role models and are surrounded with secure relationships. • Support positive social and safe recreational activities for children and families. • Speak up when you are concerned about a child’s safety or security. • Volunteer your time and money for programs in your community that support children and families. • Call or write your elected officials and advocate for child abuse prevention funding and public policy that supports family resilience and stability. • Encourage workplace policies that support family life.
