What comes to your mind when you think of pregnancy and a new baby? Happiness, joy, excitement! Yes, these are all the feelings of most moms- and dads-to-be, but not all moms are able to feel this way.
Imagine being on the opposite side of the emotional chart: alone, scared, confused,or worried.
Care Net Pregnancy Center of Georgia is here for those mothers. We offer a safe, confidential, loving atmosphere for mothers and fathers wondering what they should do about an unplanned pregnancy. Along with offering counseling and guidance, we also offer programs to help assist needs that will arrive.
Our "Earn While You Learn" parenting program helps mothers and fathers prepare for their new baby and continues up to 2 years of age. This national educational program consists of video lessons with one-on-one discussions with counselors. Parents completing each lesson receive “store money” to spend in the Care Net boutique. Here they can buy items such as diapers, clothing, strollers, high chairs, cribs, baby food and more.
Care Net also provides abortion counseling to women seeking abortions to help them understand the medical process and risk and to explore with them other options. Post-abortion counseling with caring professional counselors is available to all women.
We also provide medical services such as pregnancy testing, limited OB ultrasounds, and sexually transmitted infection (STI) screening with treatment if necessary. Our staff is trained to help our clients to discover the resources, support and information that are important to them in a nonjudgmental, caring and compassionate service to all our clients
All our services are free and confidential. We have a caring staff of peer counselors with our center director, Belinda Thornton, and medical nurse, Helen Raczkowski.
